Uncatechized Children
For parents of uncatechized children requesting sacraments, consider a catechumenate model (RCIA) for more comprehensive initiation which can better draw the whole family into the life of the community.
Consider how the tone of our welcome changes when we receive all requests for sacraments as sincere and good.
No matter how small the flame, we emulate Jesus Christ in our hospitality, "A bruised reed he will not break, a smoldering wick he will not quench ..." (Matthew 12:20). Fan the flames of faith!
